As a Sewer Utility Worker you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of our organization

Overview:

The City of Buckhannon is now accepting applications for a Sewer Utility Worker until Monday May 13, 2024.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Sewer Utility Worker to join our team. As a Sewer Utility Worker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of our organization. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Duties:

· Assist with general maintenance and repairs and installation of equipment and facilities including sewer service lines

· Operate machinery and equipment as needed

· Assist with loading and unloading materials

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

· Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (50 pounds)

· Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance and cleaning

· Communication skills and ability to work well in a team

· Possess a valid WV driver license

· Successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test and a background check.

· Ability to work in inclement weather
